What is the most enjoyable element of your role?
“Solving problems brings me enormous satisfaction. I am a great believer that everyone should provide some sort of service in life and there is nothing better than helping someone by solving a problem that improves an aspect of a project or someone’s life.”

What keeps work life interesting?
“People, finding out what makes them tick, what they want to achieve and importantly what they need from us to help them get there.”

What motivates you?
“Coffee…and after that I’d have to say that my main motivation is progression, on a personal and business level. Progression always throws up challenges, getting over these hurdles provides the satisfaction needed to push forward towards the next."

What would your one desert island luxury be?
"A multitool, or is that breaking the rules..."
José Galvez – Technical Director
Jose.Galvez@bonnerrail.com

What is the most enjoyable element of your role?
“I like the fact that while we may be a small consultancy firm, we are very focused and we consistently deliver top quality and professional work that matches that of any of the larger consultancies out there. I love the sense of achievement when a deliverable goes out and the client appreciates and notices we’ve gone the extra mile for them. I also obtain great satisfaction from my contributions towards the technical development of all team members at Bonner Rail, while also refining our technical and quality procedures.

What keeps work life interesting?
“I like the variety of the work and the challenging timescales we sometimes must work to. Getting to know each client and developing their trust is also an interesting aspect of my working life".

What motivates you?
“Avoiding the complacency spiral, remaining on top of things, being consistent, and keeping my eye on the ball".

What would your one desert island luxury be?
"A book. It could get boring out there (Plus it could prove useful in other ways!)".

What is the most enjoyable element of your role?
“That's a difficult question – because there's a lot I like about my current job. But what I enjoy most about it, I'd say that I enjoy giving direct support to clients in a way that really makes a difference. The contribution I make is vital to their ability to make key decisions which ultimately influence the overall success of a project. I enjoy the challenge; I enjoy the responsibility and I enjoy the methodical and precise approach which is necessary for me to deliver the information they rely upon. More recently with the apprentices starting I can now share my knowledge with the young guns.”

What keeps work life interesting?
“Meeting new people along with more involvement within a project using my ever-developing experience and knowledge. The variety of jobs I am involved in keeps it interesting as it’s always different to the last job.”

What motivates you?
“Coming into work knowing I am making a difference on a project and making things happen with our delivery of work always on time. Being highly appreciated and acknowledged by clients as well as Mark motivates me, knowing my work is appreciated.”
